Accreditation in Radiation Oncology

The Radiation Oncology Accreditation Panel (ROAP) is responsible for Radiation Oncology accredition.

There are currently two pathways to accreditation:

Radiation Oncology Equipment Commissioning & Quality Assurance (ARECQA)

This program commenced in 1988 and will cease taking applications on December 31, 2010. It is intended for experienced medical physicists.

Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (AROMP)

This program commenced in 2004 and is the only means of attaining accreditation for people first commencing work as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) from January1, 2006.
